Daily Zen

Today from Daily Zen:

The way to true spirituality
Cannot depend upon others;
One instant of enlightenment
And I go beyond body and self.
The myriad and profound virtues
Are complete;
Anywhere in the universe
Is now my home.

- Mokuan (1611-1676)

So, tell me: what does this mean to you?

To me, it means we have to lose self in order to find self. We have to be devoid of want and self-perception. We just have to try and exist honestly in the clean white bone of our own truth. Not easy to do.

Not related to the post (cuz I don't know what that means to me!), I think I dig the new layout. The text columns could stand to be wider, but it's very clean. I like it.

Wow. Deep. I think that, basically, what it means is that once you find the key to enlightenment, you can go anywhere, be anything, accomplish greatness. Personal greatness, really.

I'm sick. I'll think about it some more. ;) Love your new layout.

thanks for linking me I need to get better at that.-- deep thoughts--You get out of life what you put into it, and when you love yourself for who you are today and not what who are striving to become (but still striving) then you are at peace. I do yoga 3 x a week it keeps me moving, and gives me peace,it opens my mind to the wonderful world God has created for us and to be tolerant of others and their thoughts and goals also --- hey you asked :)

LOVIN' YOUR BLOG!

"No matter where we go, there we are so we'd better find peace within ourselves"

....well, my take on it anyway!

Peace!

Oooo. I love it. To me it means that once you find what is important to you all the rest falls away. You can be free. Happy anywhere with what you have and know is important.
